Description

The Bureau of the Fiscal Service has a multi-faceted mission that promotes financial integrity and operational efficiency across Federal Government, therefore, protecting the information and technology resources that support the bureau�s mission are critically important. Fiscal Service manages sixty (60) FISMA systems with billions of PII records, including multiple High Value Assets (HVAs) that support the Financial Services Sector of the Critical Infrastructure of the Federal Government. On December 13, 2020, reports surfaced of a mass cybersecurity attack on government agencies for which the Cyber and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA) issued an Emergency Directive (https://cyber.dhs.gov/ed/21-01/) with regards to a supply chain attack on the SolarWinds Orion Software. CISA determined that this exploitation of SolarWinds products posed an unacceptable risk to Federal Civilian Executive Branch agencies and required emergency action.� In response to an impact assessment and incident response actions resulting from the CISA Emergency Directive 21-01, Fiscal Service has an immediate, critical need to deploy the CrowdStrike Falcon OverWatch Elite service - a human threat detection engine that provides an assigned threat response analyst to the Bureau and would operate as an extension of the Fiscal Service team. Utilizing these cybersecurity services requires a process of searching for cybersecurity risks/issues, identifying those risks/issues, and deploying services to appropriately mitigate and correct the risks/issues. The deployment of these services is referred to as Incident Response Services. The response services are required on an as needed basis in order to protect and secure the Bureau against cybersecurity threats. NO SOLICITATION IS AVAILABLE. A request for more information, or a copy of the solicitation, will not be considered an affirmative response to this Special Notice.
