- THIS SOURCES SOUGHT/REQUEST FOR INFORMATION IS ISSUED FOR INFORMATION AND PLANNING PURPOSES ONLY AND IS NOT CONSIDERED A SOLICITATION. The purpose of this sources sought/RFI is to gain knowledge of businesses that are capable of satisfying the following work requirements: Statement of Work BACKGROUND: This work covers all materials and labor for installation of fiber cable between exterior of Generator to building 2 data room. STATEMENT OF WORK: - Utilize existing low voltage conduit with pull string from exterior generator to basement mechanical room and provide new pull string along with fiber. - Install approximately 500 feet of 6-strand OM4 indoor/outdoor rated MM cable from Building 2 server room to Generator Bldg. 2, Construction Parking Lot. - Terminate all pairs with LC connections. - Provide and install (1) 6-port wall mount LIU at each end with (1) LC six pack. - Supply and install (2) 10/100/1000 OM4 media convertor with LC connections, one at each end. - Connect, test, and provide results to engineering. - Utilize innerduct within building from the termination of available conduit and firestop any penetrations. - Work to be performed during regular business hours. Period of Performance: the contractor will have one week to complete all work. Options are not involved. Place of Performance: 1400 VFW Parkway, West Roxbury, MA 02132 Responses to this sources sought will be used by the Government to make appropriate acquisition decisions. After review of the responses to this sources sought, a solicitation announcement may be published. Responses to this sources sought notice are not considered adequate responses for a solicitation announcement. Responses to this sources sought/RFI are due by 10 AM EST time on February 1, 2021. Responses to this notice shall be submitted via email to issa.shawki@va.gov. Telephone responses shall not be accepted. If a solicitation is issued it shall be announced at a later date, and all interest parties must response to that solicitation announcement separately from the responses to this request for information. Responses to this notice are not a request to be added to a prospective bidders list or to receive a copy of the solicitation. The NAICS code for this requirement is 238210 and a small size standard of $16,500,000.00
