Description

The Defense Health Agency (DHA) intends to award a single-award indefinite delivery indefinite quantity (IDIQ)�contract to Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations dba The Joint Commission, 1 Renaissance Blvd., Oakbrook Terrace, IL 60181-4294�for up to five years [12-month (base period) plus four (4) one-year options] and up to six (6) months extension of services option, for Military Medical Treatment Facility Healthcare Facilities Accreditation Services (HFAS) to provide�military medical treatment facilities (MTFs) with healthcare organization accreditation and Patient Centered Medical Home (PCMH) certification by an external, nationally recognized healthcare accreditation organization (AO). The Department of Defense (DoD) is committed to providing quality healthcare. Achieving and maintaining accreditation by an established, nationally recognized, external AO provides objective feedback to assess compliance with healthcare standards and builds stakeholder confidence in the quality of healthcare delivered in the Military Health System (MHS). Continually developing the knowledge and skills of MTF staff on accreditation standards, the survey process and compliance monitoring are essential for continuous standards compliance to ensure safe, quality care for beneficiaries. The solicitation for this effort was posted as a full and open competition under HT0011-20-R-0043 IAW FAR 12 and FAR 15 for a period of twenty (20) days from 9/18/2020 to 10/8/2020 and further extended an additional ten (10) days from 10/9/2020 to 10/19/2020 under HT0011-20-R-0043-0004 ( Amendment 1) to RFP HT0011-20-R-0043.
