Description

Mission and Installation Contracting Command, Fort Gordon, Georgia intends to negotiate/award a sole-source contract with Data Security, Inc.; 300 South 7th Street, Lincoln, NE 68508: Vendor Cage Code 55716. The requirement is for the following items: 1 Each � SSMD-2mm One Year Extended Warranty SN 72-1294 1 Each � DX-8 One Year Extended Warranty SN 71-1068 1 Each � LM-1 Degausser One Year Extended Warranty SN 67-1188 1-Each � LM-1 Degausser One Year Extended Warranty SN 67-1079 The authority for this non-competitive award is 10 USC 2304(c)(1), Data Security, Inc. is the exclusive US distributor and manufacturer for the Degausser/Destroyer Warranty Renewal Package.� Extended warranty renewals for the destroyer and degaussers enable continual support in eliminating Information Assurance vulnerabilities. The operational capability of these machines support sanitization and destruction of hard drive media and ensures compliance with Information Assurance Vulnerability Management (IAVM) requirements by reducing the number of hard drives entering and exiting the facility for destruction. Purchase and licensing agreements for the destroyers and degausser equipment determine the source vendor as the only source reasonably available to provide preventative maintenance service. The Government intends to procure this sole source requirement under Simplified Acquisition Procedures in FAR part 13 and Commercial procedures in FAR part 12.� THIS NOTICE IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS and a solicitation will not be issued. Interested concerns must show clear and convincing evidence that competition of this requirement would be advantageous to the Government.� If no affirmative written responses are received by 16:00pm EST on 05 February 2021, an award will be made without further notice.� Oral communications are not acceptable in response to this notice.� A determination by the government not to compete this proposed requirement is solely within the discretion of the government.
