*Amendment 1 posted to with SF-30 to notate a change in the site visit date,�the cover sheet for supporting files�and�updates to the DOD SAFE wording. See summary of changes for all items. No other terms and conditions outside of what is noted in the amendment have been changed. The due date and time for reciept of bids has NOT changed as a result of this amendment. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Wilmington District requires a contract for Eagle Island Confined Disposal Facility Improvements for Cell 1, (FY20), Brunswick County, North Carolina, W912PM20B0024. THIS SOLICITATION IS UNRESTRICTED: This solicitation is issued as an Invitation for Bid (IFB) and �anticipated to result in the award of a single firm fixed price (FFP) contract. The magnitude of construction for this work is between $10,000,000.00 and $25,000,000.00. NAICS 237990 � Other Heavy and Civil Engineering Construction and the size standard is $39,500,000.00. The project includes work at Cell 1 of the Government owned Eagle Island Confined Disposal Facility (CDF) also referred to as the Dredged Material Disposal Area.� The work to improve Cell 1 consists of: The removal of the existing Spillway 1 system on the Cape Fear River (east) side including the spillway riser, walkway, and the spillway pipe; Construction of a new spillway system for Spillway 1 on the Brunswick River (west) side including new spillway foundation, spillway riser and spillway pipe; The removal of the existing spillway systems at Spillway 2 and Spillway 3 locations included the spillway risers, walkways, and spillway pipes; Construction of new spillway systems for Spillway 2 and Spillway 3 at these locations including new spillway foundation, spillway risers, walkways, and spillway pipes; Construction of support frames for spillway pipes beyond the toe of new exterior toe berms;� Construction of exterior toe berms along the outside toe of the existing dike; Construction of the interior step-in along the inside toe of the existing dike which includes regrading and excavating a portion of the existing dike and placement of high-strength geotextile fabric during the construction of the interior step-in. The interior of Cell 1, location of dredged material, will be available as a source of borrow material to construct the toe berms and step-in.� Control and diversion of water along with pumping and dewatering will be required.� The Government will not provide written paper copies of the solicitation.� This solicitation will be issued in electronic format only.� No additional media (CD-ROM, floppy disks, facsimiles, etc) will be provided.�� Other methods of requesting a package will not be honored.� Potential contractors are responsible for monitoring this site for the release of the solicitation package and any amendments.
