Page 2 of 10 SOURCES SOUGHT SYNOPSIS FOR VETERAN OWNED SMALL BUSINESSES & SMALL BUSINESSES ONLY. The Department of Veterans Affairs is issuing this sources sought notice as a means of conducting market research to identify Veteran Owned Small Business or Small Business parties having an interest in and the resources to support a requirement to perform instrument sharpening and repair for the William S. Middleton VA Hospital in Madison, WI and the Tomah VA Medical Center in Tomah, WI. Responses may be used to determine the appropriate acquisition strategy for a potential future acquisition.  Contractors must be able to perform these services onsite in a mobile repair vehicle, or offsite at the vendor s repair facility. Vendors must be able to have a 24-48 hour turnaround time depending on the requirement.  Specific details are listed in the Statement of Work attachment.  The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code assigned to this procurement is 811219 Other Electronic and Precision Equipment Repair and Maintenance.  The size standard for NAICS is $22 Million. THERE IS NO SOLICITATION AT THIS TIME. This request is for capability information and does not constitute a request for proposals; submission of any information in response to this market survey is purely voluntary; the government assumes no financial responsibility for any costs incurred.  Requirements:  PLEASE SEE SOW AND INSTRUMENT LISTS DETAILS ATTACHED Interested firms shall provide a response that includes the following information: (1) Identification (including name, address, phone number and DUNS number), and your firm s applicable small business socio-economic status (e.g. Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB), Veteran Owned Small Business (VOSB), Small Business, HUBZone, 8(a), or Women Owned Small Business (WOSB)). (2) A narrative of your experience and capabilities, to include how you will be able perform the service.
