- Sources Sought/Request for Information US Army Corps of Engineers, Vicksburg District (MVK) Crane Brake Replacement at Tensas-Cocodrie Pumping Plant THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR QUOTES. NO CONTRACT WILL BE AWARDED FROM THIS POSTING AND THE GOVERNMENT WILL NOT PAY FOR ANY INFORMATION PROVIDED AS A RESULT OF THIS MARKET SURVEY. This sources sought is issued for the sole purpose of conducting market research in accordance with the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 10 to gain knowledge of interest, capabilities, and qualifications of all firms interested in participating in competing and performing a service contract for the MVK. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) will potentially have a requirement for all rehabilitation efforts necessary to fully restore the 10-ton hoist crane at the Tensas-Cocodrie Pumping Plant (TCPP). This work includes but is not limited to the installation of an OEM replacement brake and all troubleshooting efforts necessary to restore the crane to its fully operational status. The Government is seeking to identify business sources under North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) 811310, Commercial and Industrial Machinery and Equipment (except Automotive and Electronic) Repair and Maintenance. This NAICS code has a small business size standard of $16,500,000.00. All interested, capable, qualified and responsive contractors are encouraged to reply to this Sources Sought. Contract Information:� The Vicksburg Contracting Office (VCO) is soliciting Capability Statements and Past Performance information from all interested, capable, qualified and responsive contractors who are capable of performing this potential requirement. 2. ���Project Information: This potential requirement is for all rehabilitation efforts necessary to fully restore the 10-ton hoist crane at the Tensas-Cocodrie Pumping Plant (TCPP). The crane appears to be KONE, manufactured circa 1985. Hoist brake #�s UN3-N3 / UN8-D33. Requirements of the work include (but are not limited to) the following: restoration service including labor, brake installation, testing, and any other parts or procedures necessary to restore the crane with materials and parts being new and unused, free from defects and imperfections, and of the classifications and grades specified by the original manufacturer unless otherwise approved. Materials not specifically described shall, as far as practicable, conform to the latest American Society for Testing and Materials (ASTM) specifications. providing catalog cuts for the proposed replacement brake Furnish, under separate cover, the company standard commercial warranty for the crane repair. 3. Submission Requirements: The Government invites all interested, capable, qualified and responsive contractors with the capabilities necessary to meet or exceed the stated requirements, as indicated in this posting, to submit a Capability Statement demonstrating their capabilities to perform the required work. The company's CAGE Code and DUNS number shall also be included with the submission. Contractors MUST have an active record in the System for Award Management (SAM) database. The Capability Statement for this sources sought is not expected to be a proposal but rather short statements regarding the company's ability to demonstrate existing or developed expertise and experience in performing the requirements noted above. This sources sought is for information and planning purposes only and is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government. The Government will not pay for any information received from potential sources as a result of this sources sought. Respondents will not be notified of the results of this Sources Sought. All interested firms, registered with the System for Award Management (SAM) under NAICS code 811310 have until Friday, February 12th, 12:00 pm (central time) to submit the following information: Please provide your company name, address, point of contact with corresponding phone number, e-mail address, CAGE code and DUNS number. Clearly confirm that your company business size as under NAICS 811310. If applicable provide your socio-economic indicator designation as HUBZone, 8(a), Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business, Small Disadvantaged Business, or Woman-Owned Business. If your firm is a Small Business, provide affirmation that your firm can comply with the following minimum requirements: FAR 52.219-14, Limitations on Subcontracting, requires that a small business concern perform at least 15 percent of the cost of the contract, not including the cost of materials, with its own employees. Provide evidence supporting your capabilities to perform the necessary work. Include project name and key/salient features of the project. Please provide at least one point of contact (with email address and phone number) for project validation. What does your company specialize in? Firm's capability to perform to include geographic location. What experience does your company have with Government contracts? Would you be willing to participate in a future acquisition for this subject Sources Sought/Request for Information? All responses will be reviewed for preliminary planning purposes in determining future acquisition strategy. Submission of information should be limited to not more than 5 (five) pages. Submissions that are not received within the allotted time, do not meet all requirements, and do not contain the requested information will not be considered.
