- Department of Veterans Affairs Veterans Health Administration Program Contracting Activity Central (PCAC) National Activations Office (NAO) Surge Support Team February 1, 2021 SPECIAL NOTICE NOTICE OF INTENT FOR NAME BRAND Redding CBOC Activation Package 123 Physiology Monitoring System (Capnography) RFI eCMS ACTION NUMBER 36C77621Q0114 The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Veterans Health Administration (VHA) requires: Physiology Monitoring Equipment The Program Contracting Activity Central (PCAC), National Activations Office (NAO) intends to issue a brand name requirement for the above physiology monitoring equipment. This procurement is being conducted in accordance with FAR 13.106-1(b) soliciting competition; soliciting from a single source ( brand name), where acquisitions conducted under Simplified Acquisition Procedures are exempt from the requirements of FAR Part 6, but still require a justification using the format of FAR 6.303-2. The NAICS code for this procurement is 339112 and the Small Business Administration Size Standard is 1,000 employees. This notice of intent to is not a request for competitive quotes. No solicitation document is available and telephone requests will not be accepted. However, any responsible source who believes it is capable of meeting the requirements may submit a quotation with manufacturer cut sheets, which may be considered by the agency, only if received by email by the closing date and time of this notice. Responses received will be evaluated; however, a determination by the Government not to compete the proposed procurement based upon responses received to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
