Description
The Naval Undersea Warfare Center Division Newport (NUWCDIVNPT) intends to issue a solicitation on or about 15 Jan 2021 for roof drainage repairs at Building 104 and 105 located at the Naval Undersea Warfare Center (NUWC), Newport, RI. It includes removal of bituminuous concrete, excavation of pipe trenches, disposal of arsenic contaminated soil, provision of drainage piping and drainage manholes, backfilling of trenches, provision of granite curbing, provision of bituminous and portland cement concrete, provision of pavement markings; and incidental related work. Buildings 104 and 105 house business offices for the Naval Undersea Warfare Center Division Newport (NUWCDIVNPT). Downspouts along the south face of Building 104 spill rainwater directly onto the adjacent parking lot. The water does not always find its way to drainage basins. Instead, the water often pools on the surface and in front of the Buildings main entrance. In winter months, the pooled water becomes ice and is a slipping hazard for NUWC employees. At Building 105, visible puddles form in the corner office each time it rains or snow melts. The office is directly adjacent to an exterior downspout. It is appartent that water is leaking from the outside to the inside. The puddles are happening with more frequency year after year. The purpose of this project is re-direct stormwater runoff from the downspouts at each building to the existing, base-wide stormwater drainage system. This solicitation will be issued as a 100% small business set aside. The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code for this acquisition is 237310 with a size standard of $39.5 Million. Magnitude of Project per FAR 36.204 is between between $100,000 and $250,000. The Government anticipates award of a single firm fixed price type contract.Completion will be 180 days after award. All Offerors doing business with the Government are required to be registered with SYSTEM FOR AWARD MANAGEMENT (SAM) (this replaces the former CCR and ORCA). Proposals cannot be accepted and access to restricted documents will not be allowed unless the Offeror is registered in SAM.
