- Description
- 1 THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL (RFP). NO PROPOSALS ARE TO BE SUBMITTED IN RESPONSE TO THIS NOTICE. This notice is issued by the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA), Goddard Space Flight Center (GSFC) to survey industry on their capabilities to produce a high-speed Focal Plane Array (FPA) with digital outputs in a single active CMOS IC device. The FPA is intended to be considered for applications such as lightning detection in a spaceflight environment from Geostationary orbit, including within the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) Geostationary Extended Observations (GeoXO) program series of geostationary satellites. The expected quantity of space flight qualified and qualification unit FPAs to meet future lightning detection instrument implementation needs is anticipated to be 30-50 units total. This Request for Information (RFI) specifies the requirements for the FPA being sought.
