Description
NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD SOLE SOURCE Project Title: GoPhysio Announcement No.: 36C24621Q0309 The Government hereby submits a notice of intent to award a sole source Firm-Fixed-Price open market order for the GoPhysio system for Fayetteville VAMC Rehabilitation Department. Currently there is a substantial backlog for in and outpatient rehabilitative and wellness services for Veteran and Active Duty Service Members. There exist opportunities to implement virtual systems which will allow increased access for the patients, as well as improved oversight and enhanced adherence to prescribed rehabilitative programs for the clinicians. The GoPhysio system created by 4D Health Science, LLC has been designed specifically to address this need and allows full treatment programs to be administered remotely. The Go Physio system is designed to do much of the leg work of the physical therapist and thereby aiding the physical therapist in being able to assess patients through the VR data and adjust treatment per the data. All this will be done remotely and; thus, helping the VA maintain social distancing and improving efficiency with our physical therapy department during the COVID-19 pandemic. Market research has been conducted and it has been found that the GoPhysio fulfills the Governments need in providing a remote service for Physical Therapy during a pandemic. Market research failed to identify another product that can provide these services. Responses to this notice must demonstrate clear and convincing evidence that competition would be advantageous to the Government, would not be cost or time prohibitive, and would not hinder the mission objective of the Department of Veterans Affairs Fayetteville Rehabilitation Department. The determination not to compete this proposed contract action is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered for the purposes of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. The Government will not be responsible for any costs incurred by responding to this notice. This is not a request for quote or proposals. Questions or comments to this Notice of Intent should be directed within five (5) calendar days of this publication to Contracting Specialist, LaToya Glover at LaToya.Glover2@va.gov (no phone calls/voice mail messages regarding questions will be accepted and will not received a response). Please indicate in the subject of your email: Notice of Intent Question Submission 36C24621Q0309. This announcement closes February 05, 2021 NLT 10:00am EDT
