- This is a pre-solicitation synopsis, Contracting Office: ZIP: 96322 Classification Code: Y1KF � Construction of Dredging Facilities Contracting Office Address:� N40084 NAVFAC FAR EAST, FEAD SASEBO PSC 561, Box 66, FPO AP 96322-1160 Building 200, Hirase-cho, Sasebo Nagasaki, Japan The Naval Facilities Engineering Command (NAVFAC) Far East, PWD Sasebo, is issuing this pre-solicitation notice in accordance with FAR 36.213-2. DESCRIPTION OF THE PROPOSED WORK: Maintenance Dredging Phase 2, India Basin at the U.S. Fleet Activities, Sasebo (CFAS), Japan. The work includes survey of India Basin, transportation of excavated sediment materials, treat/dewater excavated sediment materials (salt, mud and etc) to dispose facility, and incidental related works, as described on plans and specifications. IAW FAR 36.204 and DFARS 236.204, the magnitude of construction is between $10,000,000 and $25,000,000 (based on FY21 Budget Rate of USD 1.00 / JPY 107.9114). LOCATION OF THE WORK:� CFAS, Japan TENTATIVE DATES FOR ISSUING INVITATIONS, OPENING BIDS, AND COMPLETING CONTRACT PERFORMANCE:� �Tentatively the Invitation for Bid (IFB) will be issued on or about 01 March 2021, tentatively bids will be opened on or about 30 April 2021, tentatively the period of construction work is 540 days after date of award. These dates are subject to change and no updates will be made to this pre-solicitation notice. STATE WHERE PLANS WILL BE AVAILABLE FOR INSPECTION WITHOUT CHARGE: The IFB including the plans and specifications will be posted on betaSAM (https://beta.sam.gov) and is available to be downloaded from the website free of charge. SPECIFY A DATE BY WHICH REQUESTS FOR THE INVITATION FOR BIDS SHOULD BE SUBMITTED: The IFB including the plans and specifications will be posted on betaSAM (https://beta.sam.gov) and is available to be downloaded from the website free of charge. STATE WHETHER AWARD IS RESTRICTED TO SMALL BUSINESSES: The IFB will be issued on an unrestricted basis in accordance with FAR 6.1.
