THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE. NO SOLICITATION IS AVAILABLE AT THIS TIME. The purpose of this Sources Sought Notice is to identify potential sources capable of performing the effort described herein pursuant to FAR part 10, Market Research and FAR part 19, Small Business Programs. This is for planning purposes only. Any information submitted by respondents to this Source Sought Notice is voluntary. The Air Force does not intend to award a contract on the basis of this notice or to otherwise pay for the information solicited. Respondents should not construe this notice as a commitment by the Air Force for any purpose, and should refrain from providing proprietary information in the response. The government is considering a sole source contract to Hitachi High Technologies America, Inc, 1375 N 28th Ave, Dallas TX 75261, Cage code 6WR65 to perform�High�Electron Sanning Microscope Maintenance.� Performance includes annual comprehensive preventive maintenance, inspections, and services designed to keep the equipment in a condition ready for ordinary use and emergency�service as required.� �At this time the government believes that only Hitachi High Technologies is authorized to perform service support on the Hitachi Electron Scanning.Microscope.� � It is our understanding that the company does not certify third party technical service nor do they have any dealers or distributers selling parts or providing service. If the above is incorrect, please submit a statement of capability limited to�5 pages�with documentation explaining how you can perform the required service support on the equipment without invalidating any warranties that may currently exist.��Specifically addressing our understanding that Hitachi does not�authorize thrid party technical service or have any dealers/distributers selling parts or providing service.� � Statment of�Capability Responses�shall include company name, address, DUNS number, CAGE code, point of contact with email address and telephone number, and �indicate business size (small business, small disadvantaged business, service-disabled veteran-owned small business, economically disadvantaged woman-owned small business, woman-owned small business, or HUBZone) using NAICS 811219, Other Electronic and Precision Equipment Repair and Maintenance size standard $22M.�
