- Description
- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6 and FAR Part 15, contracting by negotiations, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a separate written solicitation will not be issued. This solicitation is issued as a Request for Proposal (RFP). This solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2021-04 dated 19 January 2021. This solicitation is other than full and open competition, and not set-aside for small business. The NAICS code for this acquisition is 333618 and the small business size standard is 1,500 employees.�� �� The U.S. Coast Guard Surface Forces Logistics Center (SFLC) plans to enter into a requirements type contract with Firm Fixed Price Delivery Orders on the basis of other than full and open competition with the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) Fairbanks Morse Engine (FME) 701 White Avenue Beloit, WI 53511. Delivery Orders issued against the contract intend to use annual Operational and Maintenance Funds for the particular fiscal year of the order. The period of performance will consist of five (5) years with four (4) 12 month ordering periods for the supply of OEM Fairbanks Morse Diesel Engine parts, used onboard the 378� Coast Guard High Endurance Cutters (WHECs) and 140� Coast Guard Icebreaking Tubs (WTGBs) on a brand name basis. ). The estimated base Year and option year estimated quantities we derived from Naval and Electronic Supply Support System (NESSS), past orders and/or like items. The total estimated dollar value of supplies the Government will acquire under the contract are as follows: the total estimated minimum dollar amount of FME Diesel Engine Parts to be purchased would be $1,000.00 and the total maximum dollar value of FME Diesel Engine Parts to be purchased would be $10,000,000.00. Parts purchased under the resulting contract will be purchased via issuance of firm fixed priced delivery orders. All parts and repair parts shall be genuine OEM parts; no aftermarket or remanufactured parts shall be provided or authorized.� Contractor�s proposal submitted in response to this solicitation shall be valid for 120 calendar days from the closing date of the solicitation.�� In accordance to FAR 16.503(c), Failure of the Government to furnish such items in the amounts or quantities described in the Schedule as ""estimated"" or ""maximum"" will not entitle the contractor to any equitable adjustment in price under the Government Property clause of the contract.
