- Description
- Today and into the future, the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) embraces innovation to deliver vital surveillance services for safe and efficient use in the National Airspace System (NAS). The deployment of Automatic Dependent Surveillance-Broadcast (ADS-B) and Fusion automation revolutionizes surveillance services delivered to air traffic controllers, pilots, and travelers. Maintaining this path of modernization, the FAA is hosting a virtual industry week with the aviation surveillance industry to look at how surveillance services will continue to evolve. On the first day the FAAs Surveillance Services leadership team will present its strategy and 2021 NAS Enterprise Architecture Infrastructure Roadmaps. Additional sessions will take a deeper look at the evolution of NAS surveillance. During the rest of the week, the FAA will provide information regarding the acquisition of revolutionary surveillance services along with an opportunity for industry partners to participate in confidential one-on-one sessions with members of the FAA.
