- SPE7L421RX015 DLA Land and Maritime is preparing to solicit an Indefinite Delivery Contract (IDC) for the NSN(s) listed below. This acquisition is for supplies for which the Government possess complete and unrestrictive technical data, therefore, the Government intends to solicit and contract as a Small Business Set Aside. This SOURCES SOUGHT notice is for informational and planning purposes only and shall not be construed as a solicitation or as an obligation or commitment by the Government. This notice is intended strictly for market research. This is NOT a solicitation for proposals, proposal abstracts, or quotations. No solicitation exists at this time. The purpose of this notice is to obtain information regarding the availability and capability of qualified small businesses that are capable of executing this potential contract. The Government is not obligated and will not pay for any information received from potential sources as a result of this notice. Your response to the information requested will assist the Government in determining the appropriate acquisition method. Sources interested in providing an offer on this solicitation should contact the Contract Specialist via email. mindy.messerly@dla.mil�� NSN 4010-01-414-2179 AMC/AMSC- 1G IAW BASIC DRAWING NR 19207 12364546 WIRE ROPE ASSEMBLY CONTRACTOR CERTIFICATE OF CONFORMANCE REQUIRED PER DWG 19207_12364546 CERTIFICATIONS SHALL BE PROVIDED TO VERIFY CONFORMANCE TO REQUIREMENTS CALLED OUT. NOTE 2 & 5 NOTE 2 - EACH WIRE ROPE ASSEMBLY SHALL HAVE PROOF LOAD OF 140,000 LB APPLIED FOR A MINIMUM OF ONE (1) MINUTE, NO SOCKET SLIPPAGE PERMITTED BEYOND INITIAL SEAT-IN OF SPELTER CONE. NOTE 5 - WIRE ROPE ASSEMBLY SHALL HAVE A MINIMUM ULTIMATE BREAKING FORCE OF 260,000 LBS. VERIFY BREAKING FORCE WITH A DESTRUCTIVE TEST ON A SAMPLE WIRE ROPE ASSEMBLY 180.000 +/- 36.000 IN LENGTH. THE SAMPLE ASSEMBLY SHALL BE IDENTICAL TO THE WIRE ROPE ASSEMBLY SHOWN ON THE DRAWING, WITH THE EXCEPTION OF THE LENGTH. DESTRUCTIVE TESTING FREQUENCY SHALL BE ONE (1) TEST PER FIFTY (50) WIRE ROPE PRODUCTION ASSEMBLIES. WHEN REQUIRED FOR A FIRST ARTICLE TEST, A FULL-LENGTH WIRE ROPE ASSEMBLY SHALL BE TESTED TO FAILURE. The Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) limits distribution of export-control technical data to DLA contractors that have an approved US/Canada Joint Certification Program (JCP) certification, have completed the Introduction to Proper Handling of DOD Export-Controlled Technical Data Training and the DLA Export-Controlled Technical Data Questionnaire (both are available at the web address given below), and have been approved by the DLA controlling authority to access the export-controlled data.
