Description

This is a notice of intent to issue an award on the basis of other than full and open competition under Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 13.501(a) in accordance with 41 U.S.C. 1901. The Defense Health Agency (DHA), on behalf of the Cardiology Department at Fort Belvoir Community Hospital (FBCH) intends to issue a sole source award to Stryker Corporation, located at 941 Stryker Way Portage, MD� 49002-9711. The requirement is to purchase a Base and 3 twelve months Option years Maintenance Services for 15 Neptune, 3 Rover Pro Care, and 6 Neptune 2 Docker Pro Care Waste Management Systems. Stryker Corporation is the Equipment Manufacturer. THIS NOTICE OF INTENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTATIONS and no solicitation exists for this requirement. However, parties interested in responding to this notice shall submit technical data, including cost and capabilities, sufficient to determine a contractor's ability in providing the same Maintenance Services. All capability statements received by closing of this notification of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. A determination by the Government not to compete based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
