The Corps of Engineers, Mobile District, is soliciting comments from the construction community addressing the potential use of Project Labor Agreements (PLA) for a large-scale construction project (exceeding $25 million) at Tyndall Air Force Base, FL. This market survey is being posted for the D/B of the F-35 Munitions Storage Facilities, Tyndall AFB, Florida (Bay County). Description of Work: As a result of the new F-35 mission at Tyndall AFB, FL, new facilities will be required to support munitions maintenance, storage and delivery. The existing Trailer Maintenance Facility requires an addition in order to maintain up to 100 additional pieces of trailer equipment as well as an administrative and maintenance bay addition totaling 1,500 SF and a concrete pad. In addition to the above, the F-35 mission requires construction of four igloos; new Admin w/ parking; aircraft support equipment storage facility; aircraft support equipment yard and a missile assembly shop for the F-35 mission. The existing Munitions Assembly Conveyer (MAC) pad was damaged and the adjacent sunshade was destroyed. The pad and sunshade are required for munitions assembly. A 1,667 SY asphalt parking lot adjacent to the existing lot is required to accommodate up to 40 cars. This lot should provide striping, curbing, drainage, and lighting.
