THIS IS NOT A SOLICITATION.� THIS SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE IS FOR MARKET RESEARCH PURPOSES ONLY.� No basis for claim against the Government shall arise as a result of a response to the Sources Sought Notice.� The Government will not pay for information or comments provided and will not recognize any cost associated with the submission of responses or comments. This Sources Sought Notice will be utilized by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Detroit District to establish a list of sources interested in the Detroit Area Office debris pile removal for USACE Detroit District at our Detroit Area Office located in Detroit, Michigan.� Interested sources are encouraged to respond. DESCRIPTION:� Detroit Area Office Debris Pile Removal General The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) is seeking to establish a contract with the purpose of procuring services to perform the removal of a debris pile at the Detroit Area Office. The work consists of trucking the pile of debris on government property offsite, to a disposal of the Contractor�s choosing. The work consists of removing the debris pile to the existing grade or the asphalt pavement beneath the pile.� Only the debris pile is to be removed and no other area surrounding the pile. The quantity of material may be more or less than the estimated quantity of 2,500 cubic yards.� Concrete Removal: Remove all the pieces of concrete including parking blocks.� There are some concrete pieces with metal reinforcement attached to the concrete; that must be removed. Asphalt Removal: Broken pieces of bituminous are in the debris pile and must be removed.� There is an asphalt pavement beneath the pile in disrepair; if excavated this pavement shall be removed as well.� The contract requirement is to remove all evidence of debris removed from the site.��� Miscellaneous debris: Stones and dirt make-up a large portion of the debris pile.� The following are items in the pile that must be removed:� Fence posts encased in concrete footings; Grass growing on the pile; Chain-link cyclone fence pieces that are attached to fence posts, not sheets of chain-link fence; must be removed.� There are no steel cables in the pile. There are no appliances or machinery in the pile.� If an item in the pile is questioned, a USACE representative will note the item and discuss it with the Contracting Officer; to determine if the item conforms to the materials described in the contract.� The item must fall into the categories discussed in this document, otherwise the Contractor is not liable to remove it.� Only inert material and items mentioned are to be removed.� Vegetation: Vegetation consists of trees, brush, and growing grass. All roots, trees and vegetation in the pile must be removed. This requirement is expected to be solicited in late February 2021 or March 2021. The North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) code is 562119, Other Waste Collection, which has a small business size standard of $41.5 million in�annual average receipts. All attachments must be provided in either Microsoft Word or Adobe Acrobat PDF format.� Please send responses by no later than 2:00 PM local prevailing time at Detroit, MI on February 16, 2021.� PLEASE REFERENCE �SOURCES SOUGHT: Detroit Area Office Debris Removal�, in the subject line.� Respondents will not be contacted regarding their submission or information gathered as a result of the Sources Sought.
