Description
The Department of Veterans Affairs, Network Contracting Office (NCO) 7, Birmingham VA Medical Center (VAMC) intends to solicit a indefinite-quantity contract for a base with four one (1) year option years to provide ambulance transportation services for the beneficiaries of the Birmingham VA Medical Center which includes, includes the state of Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Mississippi, South Carolina, Tennessee, and Virginia in accordance with all terms of the contract. Service will be made available twenty-four (24) hours a day, seven (7) days a week, yearly, including Federal and State holidays. This requirement is a vital part of our operations here at the Birmingham VA Medical Center. This includes ambulance, ambulette, and wheelchair transports for our Veterans. Performance shall be in accordance with the requirements contained in the PWS. Contractor shall have available the appropriate number of vehicles to provide services in a timely manner as outlined by the Performance Work Statement (PWS). All licensure, certification, insurance, and training requirements for both vehicles and staff must be met per PWS. A Request for Proposal (RFP) for this project is estimated to be released on or about March 5, 2021. The applicable North American Industry Classification (NAICS) code for this procurement is 621910 Ambulance Services and the Size Standard is $15 million.
