Description

This Synopsis is being posted to the Federal Business Opportunities (FBO) page located at�https://beta.sam.gov/.� It is understood that this is the single point of entry for posting of synopsis and solicitations to the Internet.� The Naval Surface Warfare Center Dahlgren Division (NSWCDD) intends to solicit for the manufacturing, assembly, inspection, and delivery of Gun Weapon System (GWS) components such as: Ammunition Handling System (AHS), Gun Mounts (GM), Trainable Gun Mounts (TGM), integration, maintenance and operational kits, gunner protection kits, and all future redesigned and upgraded assemblies that derive from research, prototyping, and developmental stages from Platform Integration Division (H40) projects. Support includes fabrication and delivery of finished components in accordance with (IAW) a Government qualified TDP and packaging and delivery of hardware kits IAW Government qualified packaging and parts lists requirements. These hardware kits will be used for the integration of GWS components that are eventually integrated onto various Department of Defense (DOD) platforms. This work is currently being performed under contracts N00178-17-D-0024 by Astro Machine Works, 470 Wenger Drive Ephrata, PA 17522 and N00178-17-D-0025 by Merrill Aviation, Inc. 1023 S. Wheeler Street, Saginaw, MI 48602. The solicitation will be a set-aside for small businesses for a competitive award of an Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity contract for multiple sources with issuance of Firm-Fixed-Price delivery orders. The performance period will span sixty (60) months.� The anticipated contract award date is 24 February 2022.� Best Value Source Selection process will be utilized. It is anticipated that the solicitation will be issued on or around 14 May 2021 and contract award is anticipated on approximately 24 February 2022. � MANDATORY REQUIREMENTS � The mandatory requirements for this effort include: Requirement 1 �Certifications The Contractor shall be certified with the latest versions of International Organization for Standardization (ISO) 9001 and Aerospace Quality Standard AS9100C. Requirement 2 � Facility Location The Contractor�s manufacturing facility supporting this requirement must be located within 750 miles of NSWCDD, Dahlgren, VA and must be located within the United States.
