Synopsis: Please note that this is NOT a request for quotes or proposals, the Government is seeking information for market research purposes only. Network Contracting Office (NCO) 2 of the Department of Veterans Affairs is currently conducting a market survey for qualified firms capable of providing all labor, materials and travel to perform the annual service recertification for the Top Door Alarm System at the Albany VA Health Care System, . Contractor shall provide scheduled preventative maintenance and unscheduled corrective maintenance. The North American Industry Classification Systems (NAICS) is 561621. Responses to this notice must be submitting in writing (email) and must be received not later than February 18, 2020 at 10:00AM. Email: Stacey.Fuqua@va.gov. No telephone inquiries will be accepted. Interested parties MUST provide company/individual name, a capability statement, examples of same or similar work performed at other facilities, DUNS number and address, point of contact and social-economic. The purpose of this notice is to gain knowledge of potential qualified sources and their size classification/socioeconomic status (service-disabled veteran owned small business, veteran owned small business, women owned small business, HUB Zone, 8(a), small business or large business), relative to NAICS 561621. Responses to this notice will be used by the Government to make appropriate acquisition decisions. A solicitation is not currently available. If a solicitation is issued, it will be announced on Federal Business opportunities website http://www.fbo.gov at a later date, and all interested parties must respond to that solicitation announcement separately from the responses to this announcement. Albany VA Medical Center Annual Door Alarm System Recertification Statement of Work NY BACKGROUND: The Albany VAMC requires an annual recertification on the 10B Door Alarm System located in Patient Psychiatry Unit s. The contractor needs o provide all labor, materials and travel to perform the annual recertification Top Door Alarm System. This annual recertification to the system is required to ensure the safety of our Behavioral Health Patients. PLACE OF PERFORMANCE: Albany VA Medical Center-Patient Psychiatry Unit s 113 Holland Ave, Albany, NY 12208 PERIOD OF PERFORMANCE/ HOURS OF OPERATIONS: March 15,2021-March 14,2021 ALL work done between 8am-4pm Mon-Fri SCOPE OF WORK: The system consists of; 1 ea. Master control Unit, located at the Nurses Station B1005 1 ea. Hallway siren 15 ea. Top Door Alarms with emergency notification strobes and deactivation switches located at rooms: -B1008; B1009; B1010; B1011; B1012; B1017; N1018; B1019 & B1020. REQUIREMENT: Contractor shall provide the following recertification requires; Certified Top Door Alarm technician. Inspect and test all photo electric detection beams to ensure proper alignment and adjust as necessary. Inspect strobes and sirens ensure proper voltage and sound levels adjust as necessary. Inspect master control panel for proper operation. A certificate stating the system passed all requirements. Restrictive environmental conditions; Work must be accomplished in a locked Mental Health ward. Care needs to exercise by any technicians working in the area. Work is in an inpatient Behavioral Health unit and must always have at least 2 technicians to provide for the safety of the patients while working.
