- SCOPE OF WORK� The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) are installing an Upper Maintenance Closure at Cheatham Lock from April 12 through June 10, 2021. A portion of this project involves removing concrete from the lock walls in approximately 12 various size blocks. The volume of concrete to be removed from the lock walls is a total of an estimated 65 cubic yards. The concrete will be cut into various size blocks and pieces for pick-up, transport, and disposal. The Contractor shall expect that the largest block will not exceed approximately 7�-1""x 4�-6""x 5�. The contractor shall pick-up and transport and provide manifest documentation and Certificate of Disposal that meets all OSHA, USACE and Environmental regulations for the removal of various size concrete blocks located at Cheatham Lock. Each concrete block will not weigh more than 30,000 lbs. The Contractor shall dispose of these items in accordance with all applicable Federal, State, and local regulations. Place of performance is at Cheatham Lock, 1799 Cheatham Dam Road, Ashland City, TN 3701. PERIOD OF PERFORMANCE: The completion date for this requirement is One Hundred and twenty (120) calendar days from contract award. �SITE VISIT: Offerors are urged and expected to inspect the site where services are to be performed and to satisfy themselves regarding all general and local conditions that may affect the cost of the contract performance (FAR 52.237-1, Site Visit). The Government has scheduled a Site Visit for Wednesday, February 24, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. Central Time. All attendees shall meet at Cheatham Lock, 1799 Cheatham Dam Road, Ashland City, TN 37015. Due to the social distancing guidelines provided by the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) for the COVID-19 situation, contractors will only be allowed to have no more than two (2) representatives from their company at the site visit. The site visit will take place outdoors at the Cheatham Lock area. Vendors shall maintain the proper distance, a minimum of 6 feet, from each other and Army Corps representatives at all times while on site. A mask is required when the minimum distance cannot be maintained. NOTE: All participants are required to have personal safety equipment, i.e. hard hat and safety toe shoes. Contractors who do not have these items present at the Site Visit may not be able to participate in the visit. REQUIREMENT TO REGISTER TO ATTEND SITE VISIT: Only registered persons will be permitted to attend the site visit. In addition to the below information, please also provide name of the firm, firm�s CAGE and/or DUNS number, and name and position title of primary point-of-contact and their telephone number and email address. Only two persons from each business entity will be permitted to attend. U.S. Citizens: To register, U.S. citizens interested in attending the site visit must submit a Nashville District (LRN) Security Access Form to the Point of Contract (POC), Contract Specialist Dellaria Martin, via email to dellaria.l.martin@usace.army.mil no later than five (5) business days prior to the site visit. If submitting the form in less than five (5) business days, the person may not receive approval for participation. Notification of approval or denial will be provided prior to the date of the site visit. The form is available as a pdf attachment on www.fbo.gov with this solicitation and is titled as Site Visit Registration Form. Foreign Nationals (FNs): FNs wishing to attend the site visit shall submit a completed LRN FN Security Form and legible color copies of two of the following documents: Passport (unexpired or expired), Certificate of U.S. Citizenship (INS Form N-560 04 N-561), Certificate of Naturalization (INS Form N-550 or N-570), unexpired foreign Passport with I-551 stamp or attached INS Form I-94 indicating unexpired employment authorization, an Alien Registration Receipt Card with photo (INS Form I-151 or I-551), unexpired Temporary Resident Card (INS Form I-688), unexpired Employment Authorization Card (INS Form I-688A), unexpired Reentry Permit (INS Form I-327), unexpired Refugee Travel Document (INS- Form I�571), or unexpired Employment Authorization Documentation issued by the INS which contains a photograph (INS Form I-688B) to the LRN POC. These documents must be submitted two (2) weeks prior to the site visit. Exceptions will be considered on a case by case basis but will be limited.
