- Page 2 of 2 This is a Special Notice of intent to award a sole source. Network Contracting Office (NCO) 2, Department of Veterans Affairs Bronx, NY 10468 on behalf of VA New York Harbor Healthcare System (VANYHHS) New York, NY 10010 intends to award a firm-fixed price sole source contract to Hill-Rom, Inc.; 1069 State Rte 46 E; Batesville, Indiana 47006. VANYHHS requires service to obtain inspections, testing, maintenance and repair services for the Hill-Rom Navicare Nurse Call Systems at New York Harbor Healthcare System (NYHHS)- Manhattan Campus. Hill-Rom, Inc. is the original equipment manufacturer (OEM). The authority for this action is IAW FAR 13.106-1 Justification for Single Source Award. A firm-fixed price contract with base year and three one-year options is anticipated and shall be awarded. It is the Government s belief that only the proposed candidate possesses the required capabilities to successfully meet this requirement. It is the Government s intention to solicit and negotiate with only this source. Justification for this sole source procurement is IAW FAR 13.106-1 Justification for Single Source Award. The applicable NAICS code is 811219. No solicitation package will be issued. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes; however, interested parties may identify their interest and capability to respond to this requirement. It is not a solicitation or request for offers. Any response to this notice must show clear and convincing evidence that competition would be advantageous to the Government. The Government will consider responses received by 9:00am on February 16th via email to josie.tuitt@va.gov . Telephone requests or inquiries will not be accepted. A determination by the Government not to compete the proposed procurement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement in the future.
