- The 355th Contracting Squadron intends to issue a brand name procurement action for the procurement of the following items: The Contractor shall provide all necessary tools, casting, molding, personnel, labor, materials, and shipment of:� CLIN 0001: One (1) Spectro-M/N-W RDE Optical Emission Spectrometer (Part Number: OIL-M/N-W) with default Air Force calibration profile. CLIN 0002:� One (1) SpectroM/N-W accessory's, including a Joint Oil Analyst Program (JOAP) standards D19-0, D12-100, D3-100, routine maintenance kit, ventilation hose, Epson printer and its accessories for Nondestructive Inspection (NDI); 309th Aircraft Maintenance and Regeneration Group (309 AMARG), on Davis- Monthan AFB (DMAFB), AZ. This requirement is accomplished in accordance with FAR Part 13.106-1(b) - �Soliciting from a single source�. Spectro Scientific, Inc. is the original equipment manufacturer (OEM) of the Spectro-M/N-W RDE Optical Emission Spectrometer (Part Number: OIL-M/N-W) which is required equipment per Air Force (AF) specification Technical Order (T.O.) 33B4-2-29-1 to perform Nondestructive Inspections (NDIs). Spectro Scientific has identified a limited number of distributors as third party providers for this equipment; all equipment must be purchased through the OEM. This is a notice of intent to award a brand name procurement action and is not a request for competitive proposals. Firms who want to challenge this brand name action must submit an interest letter that demonstrates your firm�s technical expertise, certifications and authorization to compete for this acquisition as an authorized provider for this equipment.� Interested parties must provide rationale as to why they should be considered.� All interested firms must respond by Wednesday, 10 February 2021 at 14:00 PST to Contracting Officer, Heidi Fox at e-mail heidi.fox@us.af.mil, or phone (520) 228-6563 or Contracting Officer, Rachelle Jenkins at email rachelle.jenkins.3@us.af.mil or phone (520) 228-3095. Responses received will be evaluated; however, a determination by the Government not to compete the proposed procurement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.� Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.� The 355th Contracting Office will not reimburse for any costs connected with providing the capability information.
