- Description
- The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE), St. Paul District (MVP) has a requirement for replacing the floatation foam on numerous SeaArk boats.� The work includes but is not limited to, providing all labor, materials and supplies to remove all existing floatation foam and applying new closed cell polyurethan foam in our SeaArk Roustabout boat fleet.� The objective of this procurement is to make all boats safe and reliable pursuant to Federal Boat Buoyancy requirements under 33 CFR, Chapter 1, Subpart F.� The Government will deliver�and pick up�the boats without charge�if the contractor�s shop is within 55�miles each way of the Fountain City Service Base (FCSB) located at:� FCSB 431 North Shore Fountain City, Wisconsin 54629� Contractor�s interested in this requirement that are beyond the 55-mile radius, will be required to pick-up and return the completed boats at their own expense.� Each boat will be trailered.� The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this project is 336612; Boat Building with a small business size standard of 1,000 employees.��� This procurement is set-aside 100% for small business concerns. This synopsis is not a request for quotes (RFQ), proposals (RFP), or in an invitation for bids (IFB). This is a pre-solicitation notice indicating that a solicitation for a competitive acquisition for the award of one firm-fixed price contract is intended to be issued via Contract Opportunities at beta.SAM.gov (formerly FedBizOpps/FBO.gov) in the near future.� The requirements will be detailed in the solicitation once issued. This announcement is for information and planning purposes only and is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government, implied or otherwise, to issue a solicitation or award a contract. Quotes will be due approximately 14 days from the date the solicitation is issued, however, the 14 day time frame is an estimate and subject to change.� The definitive solicitation closing due date and time will be stated in the solicitation and any associated amendments that may be issued. No CD's or hard copies will be available. Quoters are responsible for checking the referenced page for any update(s) to this Notice. The Government is not responsible for any loss of Internet connectivity or for any quoter�s inability to access the document posted at the referenced website. For contractors to conduct business with the Department of Defense, the contractor must provide registration information to the System for Award Management (SAM). Pursuant to FAR 4.1102, firms must be SAM registered at the time their quotation is submitted.� Registration instructions may be obtained, and online registration may be accomplished, at www.beta.sam.gov.��
