- Sources Sought for 70Z08421RBHQ02400 � BUOY CHAIN AND BRIDLES The United States Coast Guard is seeking contractors interested in submitting proposals for the manufacture and delivery of buoy chain and bridles for USCG Waterway Operations Product Line (WOPL) used by Aids to Navigation (ATON) at various locations throughout the U. S. Coast Guard Districts. �The chain and bridles shall be manufactured in accordance with attached Specifications and Drawings:� �Specification��� No. 377, Revision N and�Drawing #s� � 121032H, 121031F The Statement of Work for the Manufacture of Open Link, Welded Steel Chain and Bridles is provided for reference.� Chain size is defined as the bar diameter in inches or millimeters of the common links used in the chain.� Chain is furnished in 90ft (27.4) lengths (called �shots�), in 45ft 13.7m) lengths (called half shots�), and in 540ft (164.4m) lengths. This is a Sources Sought/Market Survey announcement seeking companies that can provide all necessary materials, labor, equipment, facilities and supervision to manufacture and deliver welded steel chain and bridles used for mooring aids to navigation buoys in the coastal and inland waters of the United States.� The Government anticipates issuing a single solicitation resulting in the award of up to two (2) Requirements Type contract with fixed-price delivery orders.� The contract will include an Economic Price Adjustment for steel and fuel. The anticipated period of performance is for a base year and four option years with an expected start date on/or about December 2021.� The applicable North American Industrial Classification Code (NAICS) is 332111 � Iron and Steel Forging. �The Small Business Size Standard is 750 employees.� A small business set-aside determination will be made based upon the results of this Sources Sought notice (i.e. if enough small business interest indicates that a set-aside for small business will result in an adequate number of responses for competition purposes).
