Description

NOTICE OF INTENT TO SOLE SOURCE Replacement of Chillers #2 and #3 at DFAS W912QR21R0034 SPECIAL NOTICE: The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) Louisville District intends to issue a Request for Proposal (RFP) for the Contractor to provide all labor, equipment, supplies and services as required for the replacement of Chillers #2 and #3 at Defense Finance and Accounting Service (DFAS) Building 21, located within the Defense Supply Center Columbus (DSCC), a Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) installation to result in a complete and useable facility. As part of the solicitation, USACE intends to include the following sole source requirements: HVAC Chillers � The replacement chillers will specifically be Trane Model CVHF770 chillers. �This is required for the new chiller to tie into the current building management system being utilized by DFAS. Trane has offices around the world, with a regional office in Holland, Ohio. DFAS has implemented an installation standardization of HVAC chiller manufacturers in order to reduce overall costs and increase overall performance efficiencies.
