Description
This announcement is for information and planning purposes only.� It is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government, implied or otherwise, to issue a solicitation or award a contract.� The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, St. Paul District (USACE) has a requirement entitled:� Montevideo Stage 3B Flood Risk Management Construction.� This one-year construction project is in the City of Montevideo, Chippewa County, State of Minnesota. USACE intends to issue an Invitation for Bid (IFB) in March of 2021 that is set aside 100% for HUBZone-certified Small Businesses for award of one (1) firm-fixed-price contract.� The USACE-supplied plans and specifications include, but are not limited to, embankment construction, gatewells, clearing and grubbing, a road raise, mechanical and electrical modifications to an existing pump station, drainage modifications including grading and piping, riprap, traffic control, topsoil, and seeding.� The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this project is 237990, Other Heavy and Civil Engineering Construction with a size standard of $39.5M.� The estimated magnitude of construction is between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000.� The contract will require 100% performance and payment bonds. This synopsis is not a Request for Quote (RFQ), Request for Proposal (RFP), or an Invitation for Bid (IFB).� In accordance with FAR Part 36, this is a pre-solicitation notice indicating that a solicitation for a competitive acquisition for award of one firm-fixed-price contract is intended to be publicized on https://beta.SAM.gov/ on or about 10 March 2021.� The plans and specifications will be detailed in the formal solicitation when issued.� Bids will be due not less than 30 days from the date the solicitation is issued.� The definitive bid due date and time will be stated in the solicitation and any associated amendments that may be issued. No CDs or hard copies of the solicitation will be available.� Interested bidders are responsible for checking https://beta.SAM.gov/ for any update(s) to this Notice.� The Government is not responsible for any loss of Internet connectivity or for any bidder�s inability to access the document posted at the above referenced website. To conduct business with the Department of Defense,�a Contractor must provide registration information to the System for Award Management (SAM).� All bidders must be actively registered at SAM prior to receiving an award.� Registration instruction may be obtained, and online registration may be accomplished at https://beta.SAM.gov.
