It is also used for diagnosing airway pathology or strictures and often paired with our new CO2 laser. Unique characteristics that limit availability to only one source, with the reason no other supplies or services can be used: This will not be a sole source purchase, but a name brand only to meet functionality, compatibility with the existing CO2 laser and can be used on simple back cases in the future at the VA Fresno. A new neuro microscope would not need to be procured if we added that service at our facility for Veterans. Description of market research conducted and results or statement why it was not conducted: Market research has been conducted for this requirement in accordance with FAR Part 10, VAAR 810 and VAAM M810. The VIP database was searched with NAICS Code 334510 and found hundreds of eligible SDVOSB vendors that can submit quotes. An FPDS search showed that at least one (1) of these vendors have been awarded contracts with the VA for the items required, therefore, competition can be established as an SDVSOB set aside.
