- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Solicitation No. 12505B21Q0028 is being issued as a Request for Quote (RFQ). This solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2021-02. The NAICS code applicable to this acquisition is�334513.� The USDA, ARS, lab in Ames, IA has a�requirement for�Fermenter. �The Government intends to award a fixed price contract for the following item as identified in the Contract Line Item Number (CLIN): CLIN: 1. The following�minimum specifications�are required for this item: 1. A complete bench-scale bioreactor/fermentation system operating at 120V including: Fermentor Control Station with dimensions no greater than 25 X 56 X 63 cm with the following features: i. Connection for interchangeable direct-drive motor must be capable of clockwise and cou nterclockwise rotation for simplified impeller selection ii. Control panel must be an integrated touch screen of at least seven inches iii. All vessel connections must be located on the side ofthe Control Station iv. Must have at least three user-defined analog input/output connections that can be used at 0-5V,0-10V and 4-20 mA v. Must have at least five gas flow controls including: 1. Sparge 2. Air 3. O: 4. Nz 5. COz vi. Must have a water recirculation module that provides precise temperature control and exhaust condensing vii. Must have at least three front-mounted fixed-speed pumps with industry-sta ndard easy load pump heads viii. Unit must have an lP21 rated enclosure for protection of electronics b. Glass autoclavable fermentation vessel with at least one liter working volume including: i. Fermentation Vessel must be autoclavable and multiuse ii. Vessel Stand iii. Heat Blanket iv. Exh aust Condenser v. Agitation Motor, Direct-drive vi. pH cable, connector and sensor vii. Redox cable, connector and sensor viii. DO cable, connector and sensor a c Tri-port adaptor. DOCUMENTS TO BE INCLUDED IN QUOTE: In order to be considered for award, Offerors shall provide 1) Total�price in block 26 of attached SF1449; and 2) Company's DUNS number. REJECTION OF QUOTATION: Failure to demonstrate compliance will be cause to reject the quote without further discussions. All responsible sources may submit an offer which will be considered.
