Description
The Army Contracting Command - Rock Island, is seeking potential sources that have the capability to manufacture and provide the following: Item:� Manipulator Army with Tooling, for an Explosive Environment Description:� Crane Army Ammunition Activity (CAAA), Crane IN, requires two Manipulators be purchased to support the Demil operations. The manipulator will be required to be rated for the following Explosive environments: CLASS II DEV1 GROUP E, F, and G. Must be able to access a pick height at ground level and a place height of 40�. Must have a tool that would pitch 90 degrees, rotated 180 degrees, and grip a cylindrical part with a 4�-8� outside diameter. Must have a radial reach at least of 114� (arms level and straight). Must have at least have a 1,000lbs of payload and tooling capacity. Must be able to do 330- degrees of rotation around the main post,290-degrees of rotation around the middle joint, and 330-degrees of rotation around the end joint. Pushbutton metering control will be required for vertical lift. Manipulator will need parallel linkage to keep the tooling parallel to the floor. Must have a portable base with leveling jacks, mounting bolts, and mounting hardware. Must have supply operating controls must include two up/down, two push buttons to grip and release, one push button �proof� is circuitry that requires simultaneous actuation of two pushbuttons to release part. Must have a Gripper Safety Circuit that prevents an operator from releasing an unsupported payload. Must have Safety lock valves that hold cylinder in position when power is lost. Must has a minimum of 3 to 1 structural design factor based on the ultimate tensile strength of material. Will also require 2 Manuals or CAD Drawings. Must have Spring Applied/Hyd Release Brakes at all 3 vertical rotation axes. DATA PLATES: All instruction, data, and identification plates and labels attached to this equipment and its controls shall be manufactured of corrosion and oil resistant metal or plastic material. All wording shall be in the English language using plain, bold face lettering. Lettering shall be permanent and have a contrasting background. NOTE:� This item must be explosive rated, in accordance with the requirements specified in the description above. Responses are requested from manufacturers only.
