CFPB expects that many of thee questions will be answered during the Industry Day discussion. Those that are not addressed, and any questions received via chat on Industry Day that are not addressed, will be answered after Industry Day via a written document posted on this page. PLEASE NOTE: Industry Day will not be recorded. This announcement should not be construed as a Request for Proposal or as a commitment by the U.S. Government. The U.S. Government does not intend to award a contract based on this Industry Day, which is for market research only. The Government will not be liable for any expenses incurred as a result of attending this Industry Day. The Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB) will be holding a virtual Industry Day with the travel and travel system industry on February 8, 2021 from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm ET. �CFPB encourages both large and small business participation, especially minority and woman-owned businesses. The purpose of the Industry Day is to provide information to industry regarding CFPB�s goals for procuring a new travel system and related services, and to request industry expertise to better shape the upcoming procurement. The CFPB seeks to answer the following questions to better solicit for the travel system and related services: The CFPB had previously intended to acquire a total travel solution with the travel system, integration/customization, Travel Management Center (TMC), and Help Desk all in one procurement. CFPB is contemplating dividing this into two or more procurements. Currently, an option is to have two procurements with one being the TMC and the other the travel system and all other related services. It is also contemplated to have the system integration be a separate procurement. What is Industry�s take on this? Is it preferable to break up the procurement? If so, should system integration be a third procurement? What are the advantages/disadvantages of this? Are there other ways to segment this based on how the systems/services are optimally provided? Should the solicitations for the different procurements (based on responses to first question) all be released simultaneously, or is there a recommended order? (e.g., procure the system first and then integration support, or procure the system and integration support at the same time, but wait to procure the TMC) Based on your experience, how long does it take for an organization like ours[1] to be successfully migrated and fully functional on new systems/services? What is the standard commercial pricing structure/method for the following list (or combination thereof)? Is there a difference between standard government and commercial pricing structures/ methods, and how do you see pricing structures/method evolving (as appropriate)? Provision and use of the system Provision and use of the TMC Integration services (initial and/or ongoing) Helpdesk What type of initial and ongoing training is typically offered/needed in the commercial marketplace for this type of effort? (e.g., in person training versus train the trainer) What type of implementation and/or integration support for the system and services have you seen be most successful in the past?� We are attaching a copy of the previously issued Statement of Objectives (SOO) and would like your feedback on any of the content that would have made it difficult or confusing for you to respond to that solicitation.� How could the SOO be improved? The Industry Day will be a three-hour virtual event (see attached agenda). The first part will be a short travel program overview and discussion of the prepared questions posted through this announcement that will help shape a viable procurement strategy. The second part will be a continued open discussion to include the previously posted Statement of Objectives (SOO), also posted through this announcement. Industry is encouraged to submit questions/comments regarding viable procurement strategies or questions/comments on the SOO prior to the Industry Day. �Please send these questions to both Vanessa del Toro and Laurent Pichet at Vanessa.deltoro@cfpb.gov and Laurent.pichet@cfpb.gov. Questions are due by 4:00 pm ET, on February 1, 2021, and will be posted to this announcement prior to Industry Day. Registration will be limited to three (3) participants per firm. Please include firm name, participant(s) name(s), email address(es), and role/services you could provide for a travel solution. [1] As of the date of the release of the�attached�SOO, the Bureau had�approximately 1,600 employees, of which approximately 400 travel regularly (3 to 4 weeks of each month). The Bureau also arranged�travel for invitational travelers.��Under normal circumstances, the Bureau issues approximately 5,400 airline tickets each year, approximately ten percent of which are for foreign travel, and issues approximately 450 rail tickets each year, all of which are for domestic travel.
