- Description
- The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE), St. Paul District is planning to solicit a requirement for the removal, fabrication, and replacement of six of the eight miter gate anchorages in the Main Lock Chamber at Lock and Dam 5A, near Fountain City, Wisconsin; six of the eight miter gate anchorages in the Main Lock Chamber at Lock and Dam 8, near Genoa, Wisconsin; and six of the eight miter gate anchorages in the Main Lock Chamber at Lock and Dam 10, near Guttenburg, Iowa. This procurement will be solicited as a single solicitation with each Lock and Dam Anchorage project awarded separately.� Bidders will have the opportunity to bid on one, two, or all three locations. It is estimated that this project will be solicited in mid-March or April 2021.� The anticipated magnitude for each location is between $1,000,000.00 and $5,000,000.00, with a combined magnitude of more than $10,000,000.00. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this project will be 237990; Other Heavy and Civil Engineering Construction with a size standard of $39.5 Million. The resulting contract(s) shall be a Firm, Fixed-Price contract(s). The solicitation shall be a Total Small Business set-aside.� The solicitation will be an Invitation for Bid (IFB). This synopsis is not a request for quotes, proposals or bids. This is a notice that a solicitation for a competitive acquisition for the award of firm-fixed price contracts is intended to be issued via Contract Opportunities (https://beta.sam.gov/search?index=opp) in the near future. The specifications will be detailed in the solicitation. This announcement is for information and planning purposes only and is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government, implied or otherwise, to issue a solicitation or award a contract. This is a pre-solicitation notice, and as such, any additional information as to the size and/or scope of the project will not be available until the issuance of the IFB.
