- Description
- This agency proposes to issue a solicitation for a long-term strategic / sole source contract which will include multiple NSNs / FSCs to support the following weapon systems / operational platforms:� Harrier AV8B Gas Turbine Starter Unit/Auxiliary Power Unit (GTSU/APU) and hydro-mechanical jet fuel controls (JFC) installed on turbine engines, including, but not limited to the T64, T56, T55, JD3D and JT4.� A total of 2,543 NSNs are targeted for this contract effort.� It is anticipated that 11 NSNs will be priced for the initial contract award.� The proposed action is intended to be awarded on a sole source basis as supported by a J&A IAW FAR 6.302-1.� The proposed sole source contract will be issued to Transaero, Inc. CAGE 2754. The proposed contract will be for a total 9-year period of performance.� Letters expressing interest in subcontracting provided to the contracting officer will be forwarded to the identified OEM.� This is proposed to be a FAR 15 effort.� The proposed contract will be a fixed price Requirements type contract.� The attached list of NSNs are the items that have been identified for this current action.� If other NSNs are subsequently added, as defined by the terms of the contract, they will be synopsized separately.
