Description
The U.S. Army Communications Electronics Command (CECOM) anticipates a requirement for 1216, Antenna-Detector, Right Spiral for AN-APR-39A(V)1/4 and C(V)1/4, NSN 5841-01-358-6774, Configuration Baseline (CB) A3084248, and 1199 Antenna-Detector, Left Spiral for AN-APR-39A(V)1/4 and C(V)1/4, NSN 5841-01-358-6775, Configuration Baseline (CB) A3084249, over a span of 5 years. The current source of supply is L3 Randtron 130 Constitution Drive, Menlo Park, California 94025.� Suppliers capable of producing-supplying the Government must include documentation such as test results, copy of prior purchase order(s) if the supplier produced the item.� The supplier must demonstrate that the supplier can, in fact, supply the Army with units that will be physically and functionally interchangeable with the units from previous suppliers.� Successful supplier may be required to warrant that these items supplied will satisfactorily perform when used for the purpose intended by the Army. A complete technical data package defining the manufacture and acceptance of this item is not available from the Army. The technical drawing package is source controlled and any manufacturer not on the approved source list will need to reverse engineer the required antennas.� Suppliers may find obsolescence issues with certain items, in which case they should address their mitigation plan to resolve such a problem.� The Radar Data Processor and components are export controlled/sensitive items.� Some minimal errors may be embedded in the drawing package.� Interested Sources should possess the following test equipment in working condition.� Responding suppliers are asked to indicate their size status in relation to the applicable NAICS code 33451 and size standard 750.� This notice does not constitute a solicitation and it is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government. Responses are requested by 26 February 2021.� No telephone response will be accepted.� This Request for Information (RFI) is for planning and market research purposes only, and shall not be construed as a commitment by the Government. The information gathered from this announcement will be used to determine if responsible sources exist, and to assist in determining if this effort can be competitive and/or set aside for Small Business. �Furthermore, the Government will use the information, in part, to determine the best acquisition strategy for a potential procurement action and to assist in making future acquisition strategy decisions. This is NOT a Request for Quote or Proposal. The Government does not intend to award a contract on the basis of this RFI or reimburse any costs associated with the preparation of responses to this RFI.
