- The purpose of this Amendment to Solicitation 36C25721Q0436 is to include the: Extended closing date Health Care System s answers to questions. The deadline for questions was 2/8/2021. Quotes must be received no later than Thursday, February 18, 2021 at 4:00 p.m. CST. Email your quote to rastreva.upshaw@va.gov. The subject line must specify 36C25721Q0436 Quote for Temperature Monitoring Kiosks. There will be no automated email notification of receipt of quotes. All quotes received without requested documentation will not be considered. All other terms and conditions of the original solicitation remain the same. TEMPERATURE MONITORING KIOSKS QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS Would Amarillo consider removing the FDA cleared component? No What is the installation/configuration expectation for the VA? See Statement of Work. No installation was requested. What are the training requirements after install for VA personnel? Internal training. Is this for 1 location or multiple locations? See Statement of Work. What is the ADA compliance requirements to support the veteran and staff populations (considering not all veterans have the ability to walk up to a KIOSK) There is no ADA compliance, temperature will be taken by staff if Veteran, employee, or guest is unable to use kiosks. What is the desired physical footprint for a KIOSK with printer - Is there a limitation? Or a defined space/area already identified? Space is already defined. What are the requirements for stickers (color, size, stick-on, customer graphics, other?) See Statement of Work and Line Item. Verify if a stand-alone solution is desired, or will the VA require connectivity to a network? Yes. Network connectivity. Are there any data access capabilities required for VA personnel/staff? No If so, what is the intended methodology to access data? N/A Is data storage required? No Can the solution be wall mounted as an option? No Does the VA have a particular OEM solution already in other facilities? Unknown but FDA certification is required. FDA requirement we believe this is for hand-held devices only. Please clarify to ensure compliance or the right scope for your requirement in terms of FDA compliance. FDA certification is required. Clarify you want to check skin temperature vs tear duct temperature which is a more accurate read. Skin temperature can fluctuate based on environmental conditions (hot out, sweaty, etc.). The bid documents lists the following two requirements: FDA Cleared Class II Medical Device (FLL designation) ISO 60601: medical device safety We would like to ask if a kiosk not meeting the above requirement would be considered? No To support each Scanning unit, what type of stand is required? (Floor Stand, Table/Desktop Stand/Tilting Wall-mount?) See Statement of Work for technical requirements. Can you provide specifications or a comparative sample model of the type of Printer required, and expected function? Would this printer be set to produce a printed sticker for each and every scanned person, or for printed reports of scans during a designated period? See Statement of Work for technical requirements. Please clarify requirement for 4-year annual monitoring. Does this mean ongoing collection and Cloud storage of visitor/employee ID & temperature data, or simply commitment to support operation of Kiosks for 4 years? See Statement of Work for technical requirements. 3 Years Extended Warranty: Standard Warranty for such hardware normally covers Defective hardware & Workmanship in production of the device. Is this what is required, or does the VA also require Accidental Damage plan coverage? See Statement of Work for technical requirements. With regards to specifications: Please find questions below: A printer that prints the photo, temperature and date that verifies the screening. QUESTION: 1 - Is there a preferred model of printer? See answers above 2 - What is the capacity of the needed printer (Is there a specific number of images that need to be able to be printed per roll of stickers)? See answers above 3 -Does printer need to be a stand alone or is it preferred to be incorporated into the kiosk For example into a hub. Please specify if either way would work. See answers above Stand-alone kiosk that does not require calibration. QUESTION: All thermal imaging devices, regardless of technology used, in some situation may require calibration due to environment. Can you please clarify why you would not want calibration? See Statement of Work for technical requirements. FDA Cleared Class II Medical Device (FLL designation) QUESTION: A temperature scanner devices is not technically a medical devices so they do not need to be cleared by FDA. Can you please clarify? FDA clearance required Medical-grade far-infrared sensor that measures temperatures. QUESTION: Please, provide technical specifications for this infrared sensor. See Statement of Work
