- Description
- THIS OPPORTUNITY IS AVAILABLE ONLY TO SERVICE-DISABLED VETERAN-OWNED SMALL BUSINESSES (SDVOSB). The Michael E. DeBakey VA Medical Center (MEDVAMC) in Houston, Texas, has a requirement titled �Open MRI Site Prep� for project number 580-18-119, per issue for construction Drawings and Specifications. This acquisition will be solicited pursuant to the Veterans' First Public Law 109-461 as a 100% Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business Set-Aside (SDVOSB). At least 15 percent of the cost of the contract performance incurred for personnel shall be spent on the concern's employees or the employees of other eligible SDVOSB concerns. �A Firm-Fixed Price construction contract award is anticipated. Contractor shall furnish all supervision, labor, material, tools, and equipment to prepare the site for the replacement of the existing Open MRI located on the 1st floor of building 100. The project will be completed in 1 phase and include support during the removal and installation of the VA provided MRI equipment. All construction work must adhere to the latest JCAHO, NFPA, and life safety requirements. All construction work must be performed without affecting medical center�s operations. Some work will be after normal hours and weekends. Work includes, but not limited to, specialized construction labor & supervision for architectural, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, medical gas, radiation protection, fire protection and demolition work as required by provided construction documents. Work will be conducted in an active medical hospital. The period of performance will be 150 calendar days from the Notice to Proceed. A 90-day proposal acceptance period will be required.� An original Bid bond must be submitted with your proposal. Performance and Payment bonds will be required from the contractor receiving award.� The magnitude of construction is between $500,000 and $1,000,000. North American Industrial Classification Standard (NAICS) code assigned to this construction project is 236220 with a small business size standard of $39.5 million in average annual receipts for the past three (3) years.� Offerors shall be registered at the Vendor Information Pages at www.vip.vetbiz.gov, in System for Award Management (SAM) database at www.betasam.gov and have completed online Representations and Certifications at http://orca.bpn.gov prior to the solicitation due date. Offerors shall be registered with the NAICS code assigned to this acquisition. See attachments for proposal details and due dates. Amendment #1 to reschedule the site visit due to inclement weather.�
