- Description
- The U. S. Army Corps of Engineers, Detroit District, anticipates publicizing a solicitation for the New Soo Lock Chamber Construction Contract at Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan during the third quarter of Fiscal Year 2021. The scope of the project consists of the construction of a 1200-foot (length) by 110-foot (width) navigation lock at the Soo Locks Complex. As part of this procurement, the Detroit District Intends to specify band name products on a sole source basis under the authority of FAR 6.302-1(a)(2) to SoftwareHouse for security command center software and physical access control equipment to eliminates operational as well as support compatibility issues. The security system for the new lock needs to be integrated with the existing facility and connected to existing servers. This Notice of Intent is not a request for a competitive proposal. This is not a solicitation and the information contained herein are subject to change or be eliminated from the requirement. Only contractors capable of providing directly compatible equivalent products shall respond.
