- QUESTIONS & ANSWERS ***Please note questions will not be accepted after 02/19/2021 10:00AM EASTERN*** ADDITIONAL QUESTIONS 02/18/2021 You would like our quote to include the PM s only, not full service, Correct? (with full-service meaning: All parts, Labor, Emergency response and repairs are included in the price, with a few exceptions,) For emergency response time is 8 hours acceptable? Do you need a 4-hour response? For service you would like us to give you a time and materials normal hours rate and include that hourly rate in blocks 002 and 004, correct? Those time and material emergency repair hours, since unknown, cannot and therefore will not be tabulated and thus will not appear in column total price correct? Answers: 1. This requirement is a preventative maintenance which shall include full service as stated in the SOW. Contractor shall provide all labor, materials, and equipment necessary. Pricing shall include all labor, transportation, and any equipment required. Please refer to the SOW for more details . 2. If there are any emergency, the response time will be 4-hour response time. 3.This hourly rate, is the rate the vendor will charge us hourly. 4. The price template is a sample which may be used or altered to provide a proper quote. The proposal must include everything requested in the SOW to ensure the most accurate quote provided; which, shall meet the need for the full service and preventative maintenance regarding this requirement. ADDITIONAL QUESTIONS 02/17/2021 Questions: We need some additional information in order to bid on this contract: Please provide the serial number for the Lyons Campus Eaton 9390 Please provide the Quantity, Model Numbers, and Serial Numbers for the PDU, PDR, and RPP. Answers: 1. EA412CBA07 - Serial Number 2. There is one RRP Easton Pow-R-Line C Model PRL4 Panelboard - Volts 208/120 V Box Cal. BX2473. No serial number on the unit. PDU and PDR are one in the same and provides power from the power source to the communications unit. This is for the IT personnel to determine not FMS. I was able to count 18 racks with various manufactures names on them. Corning, Compax and HP. In addition, these are never serviced and have no moveable parts. If you need more information, then IRM will have to provide the exact Models and Serial Numbers of these units. Question: Is this a new or follow-on requirement? If a follow-on, who is the incumbent and what is the contract number? Answer: This is a new requirement. Further information on prior contract will not be released. Original Questions and Answers posted 02/12/2021 Question: The model and make for both campuses regarding UPS? Answer: These are the 2 East Orange UPS S Each UPS has 80 batteries Make: Eaton Model: 9390-80 SN: EB283CBA03 (UPSA) Make: Eaton Model: 9390-80 SN: EB311CBA07 (UPSB) Answer: For the Lyons campus: EATON MODEL - POWERWARE 9390 Questions: Regarding the hours block in the cost matrix. Is this a request for a generalized normal business hours repair rate? Regarding the parts listed in section A. GENERAL REQUIREMENTS - OPERATIONAL INSPECTIONS, Is this what you want looked at on a PM? Can you tell us the number and type of battery for each unit? Are you looking to have your equipment covered in a full-service contract or is this for PM s only? Answer: The hours are of normal business hours. PMI only annually, this should include GENERAL REQUIREMENTS along with OPERATIONAL INSPECTIONS. We have one unit at the Lyons Campus, there are 40 batteries total, dry type, sealed type. Lyons Power Module Question: What are these and are they part of the UPS? Answer: Power Module The Power Ware 9390 UPS consists of a rectifier, battery converter, inverter, monitoring/operation control panel, integrated communication server and digital signal processor (DSP) logic. Ancillary devices Question: What are these? Answers: Ancillary Devices Single Module Reverse Transfer (RT) operates independently to support an applied load from the inverter. Single Module RT Modes supports a critical load in three different modes of operations. The standard operation modes are: Normal mode critical load is supplied by the inverter, which derives it power from rectified utility AC power. The battery charger provides charging current for the battery, if needed. Battery mode the battery provides DC power, which maintains inverter operation. The battery mode, the battery provides DC power, which maintains inverter operation. The battery supports the critical load. Bypass mode the critical load is directly supported by utility power. PDU/PDR/RPP/STS Question: Need more detail and quantities? Answers: PDU are distribution cabinets consisting of power strips for power to the racked I.T. equipment, which is located in the same room as the UPS. b. PDR are power distribution racks for multipower cords for the PDUs. c. RPP is a Remote Power Panel which provides power to the existing panels located in the computer room for maximum output. d. STS is a Static Transfer Switch utilizes a static electronic component (SCR) which permits a transfer in less than four milliseconds. Sealed Battery System and Non-Eaton equipment (MVS) Question: What are these supporting and how many are there? Answers: Sealed Battery System and Non-Easton Equipment There are 80 sealed batteries and they are feeding the entire PDUs from the distribution cabinets, in turn providing power to the PDRs for the I.T. equipment in the computer room. Model UPS Powerware 9390-80/80 Module rated 80Kva/72Kw. Eaton UPS Question: What is the Model and KVA of this unit and how many batteries associated? Answer: Eaton DC 480 volts D.C. Eaton DC Question: What is the Model and Amperage of this unit and how many batteries associated?
