Combined Synopsis/Solicitation From a Single Source -- Under Part 13.106-1(b), Soliciting from a single source The policies unique to the acquisition of commercial items prescribed in part 12, Commercial Items are being used in conjunction with the policies and procedures for solicitation, evaluation and award prescribed in�part 13, Simplified Acquisition Procedures. The contracting officer has made a unilateral determination to use the streamlined procedure for soliciting offers for commercial items prescribed in�12.603, Streamlined solicitation for commercial items. (i) This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in�subpart�12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued.� The�SF1449�will not be used for issuing this solicitation. Customs and Boarder Protection (CBP) intends to negotiate and award a Firm Fixed Price purchase order to AMERICAN CHEMICAL SOCIETY Doing Business As:�CHEMICAL ABSTRACTS SERVICE, 2540 Olentangy River Road, Columbus, Ohio 43202-1505 for online access to Chemical Abstract Services (CAS) SciFinder database.� CAS SciFindern is the only service that provides access to the most comprehensive and reliable collection of scientific patent and research content curated and aggregated by a global network of expert scientists and no other source beside Chemical Abstract Services can satisfy agency requirements. (ii) Solicitation number 20123934 is issued as a request for quotation (RFQ). � (iii) The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2021-02 published in the Federal Register October 23, 2020. �� (iv) This solicitation is soliciting from a single source, AMERICAN CHEMICAL SOCIETY Doing Business As:�CHEMICAL ABSTRACTS SERVICE, under part 13.106-1(b).� This is an unrestricted solicitation, using NAICS code 511120, with a size standard of 1,000 employees.
