- This Sources-Sought Notice is to conduct market research for Nurse Call System Software Maintenance. The contractor shall furnish all necessary labor, materials, parts, supervision, management, management support, transportation, supplies, and equipment necessary to furnish the services listed below, which are subject to changes should a solicitation be issued as a result of this notice. The contractor shall provide an Active Software Maintenance Agreement covering the Rauland Responder 5 Nurse Call System at the John D. Dingell VA Medical Center (DVAMC), 4646 John R. Street, Detroit, MI 48201. The Active Software Maintenance Agreement shall cover regular upgrades and bug fixes required by DVAMC Office of Internet and Technology (OIT). Contractor agrees to provide Rauland-Borg software (updates are typically available 2-3 times per year and upgrades are typically available 1 time per year) and the following services: Review Rauland-Borg s Software release notes with DVAMC Contracting Officer s Representative (COR). Apply and test software updates on the contractor s test system, prior to any updates to DVAMC s live system. Get approval from, and coordinate with, DVAMC to update software on DVAMC s live system on specific dates and times (coordinate work with COR). Prepare and provide training for any changes that affect end-user functionality. Fully test all functionality of system to ensure proper operation and that no defects are present due to the updated software. Provide an on-site resource during the software upgrade process. Provide DVAMC with the results of testing, including: Test scenarios that were executed and results; Defects logged with Rauland-Borg and the assigned severity; Workarounds for defects and Rauland-Borg s target release for a fix. Apply and test (or oversee the testing of) changes in DVAMC s Production environment Provide continuous support, both on-site and remotely, until customer sign-off is obtained and the software upgrade is accepted. Software Maintenance Agreement shall cover a period of 1 year from award date. Please respond if you have the ability and intent to complete this requirement. Include the following information in your response: Capabilities Statement; DUNS number provided directly in email message response; Company name and address; Point of contact information (name, phone, email); Socioeconomic size status (example: large, small, WOSB, SDVOSB, etc.); Would you be performing as a Prime, or subcontracting the services? FSS or GSA contract number, if applicable; Please provide an estimated overall cost for one year of service listed in the requirement above: This Sources Sought Notice is intended to locate any business capable of performance. The anticipated NAICS Code for this requirement is 811213. All responses shall be submitted via email by Thursday, February 25, 2021, at 10:00 AM Eastern Standard Time (EST). Email-only responses shall be submitted to Jeanne Ortiz at jeanne.ortiz@va.gov and shall include the solicitation number in the email subject line. Phone calls shall not be accepted for this notice. At this time no solicitation exists; therefore, do not Request a Copy of the Solicitation. After a review of the responses received, a pre-solicitation notice and solicitation may be published on Contracting Opportunities through beta.SAM.gov. It is the potential offeror's responsibility to monitor Contracting Opportunities for release of any future solicitation that may result from this Sources Sought Notice. However, responses to this Sources Sought Notice will not be considered adequate responses to any resultant solicitation.
