- NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD SOLE SOURCE Project title METRx II System DEPARTMENT OF VETERANS AFFAIRS NETWORK CONTRACTING OFFICE (NCO) 7 Atlanta VA Healthcare System, Decatur GA 30033. The Government herby submits a notice of intent to award a sole source firm fixed price Purchase Order to purchase additional Medtronic Spine Instruments to Medtronic USA Inc. The Surgical Services service line currently has one (1) set of the Medtronic METX System for minimally invasive surgery program and requires back-up instruments required by the health administration and surgical codes to perform minimally invasive surgeries. These instruments are unique for orthopedic spine surgeries and the back-up devices are needed to be interchangeable to the set currently in use. Medtronic USA Inc. is the manufacturer and sole exclusive seller of the item being purchased. The total estimated value is $192,823.50.
