Description
THIS IS REQUEST FOR BID -�PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS ARE AVAILABLE THIS WILL BE A TOTAL SMALL BUSINESS SET-ASIDE PROCUREMENT. CA ER 511(1) Trinity County Ruth-Zenia Road � Storm Damage Repair Project The Trinity�County Ruth-Zenia Road project consists of storm damage repairs to 12 separate sites spread over 5 routes within Trinity County, California. The routes include Ruth-Zenia Road, Mad River Road, Hyampom Road, Van Duzen Road and Alderpoint Bluff Road, which were all negatively impacted by storms in 2016-2017. All sites are located in rural, remote areas with extended travel times between each site and basic services such as fuel and lodging.� The overall purpose of this project is to restore two-way traffic at or near the condition prior to the storm damage. The project involves a variety of emergency repair work including slope scaling, excavation, embankment, reinforced slopes, potentially micropiles, drainage repairs, riprap, asphalt paving, pavement markings, erosion control, and revegetation.� Items worth noting: There are steep cut and fill failures requiring tall and steep excavations, slope scaling, reinforced soil slopes, a micropile stabilization wall, and buttress fills. � There are environmentally sensitive resources adjacent to the road in several locations. Work along this route will take place within environmentally sensitive areas and will require interactions with the Forest Service, the County, and the travelling public.� Delays due to construction will be limited to a maximum of 30 minutes. Approximate quantities for major work items: 15,500 cubic yards of roadway excavation 500 cubic yards of subexcavation 5,500 cubic yards of embankment construction 2,200 tons of roadway aggregate 1,100 tons of asphalt concrete pavement 4,500 linear feet of micropiles (potential work item) 150 cubic yards of slope scaling Anticipated Schedule Award:� March�2021 Construction:� Spring 2021 � Fall 2021 Anticipated cost is between $4,000,000 and $6,000,000
