- Notice of Intent to Sole Source, this is not a solicitation and no solicitation documents exist for this requirement. The Bureau of Reclamation, Eastern Colorado Area Office, Mount Elbert Power Plant intends to award a sole source firm fixed price purchase order to ABB for the overhaul the AHMA-4 Hydraulic Drive Units for Mt. Elbert Unit 1 and Unit 2 ABB SF6 Breakers within 8 weeks of receiving these units and return them to the Mt. Elbert facility at the contractors expense. These are SF6 High Voltage Gas Breakers manufactured by ABB and very specialized pieces of equipment and due to proprietary information, they can only be serviced by ABB. This announcement is published as a Sole Source Notice in accordance with FAR 13.106-1(b) (only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements). The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this requirement is 811310; the business size standard is $8M. A determination by the Government not to compete this requirement based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
