- The TEL-INSTRUMENT ELECTRONICS CORP (92606) TEST SET GROUP,RADA P/N 90000121 is part of the AN/USM-719 TEST SET,RADAR system which is designed in a compact, waterproof and durable case. This test set is used in the evaluation of the MK-12 Radar Identification, Friend or Foe (IFF) system. Instant one button GO/NO test can be performed based on stored parameters. The user also has the capability to manually select and vary parameters individualized for each system. The testing parameters of this system allow the Navy to continue their contingency missions with reliable equipment. The specifications of this unit are proprietary to TEL-INSTRUMENT ELECTRONICS and the Navy has determined that it is uneconomical to pursue the acquisition of the technical data. There are no authorized substitutes of this item as this is the only item known to meet performance and compatibility requirements. Due to the need to provide adequate fleet readiness, the procurement cannot be delayed pending the approval of a prospective source.
