Description
AMENDMENT 0003 Amendment extends the solicitation due date to 12:00 p.m. EST, Thursday, February 25, 2021. AMENDMENT 0002 Amendment�issued�to address questions from potential quoters. AMENDMENT 0001 Amended to upload some available technical manuals.� As stated in the Statement of Work, the reference material will be provided at the site visit. The U.S. Maritime Administration (MARAD), Norfolk, VA intends to award a firm fixed price purchase order for Potential Offeror/Contractor to provide all labor and materials necessary to for a ABS Special Periodical Survey of the main propulsion machinery an #10-Machinery for a Non-ESP Cargo Ship (non-tanker, which is greater than 15 years of age) to the satisfaction of the attending ABS surveyor in accordance with the Statement of Work onboard Training Ship KENNEDY located at the Massachusetts Maritime Academy, 101 Academy Drive, Buzzards Bay, MA 02532. The requested period of performance is on or about March 10, 2021 with completion by May 10, 2021. 52.237-1 Site Visit (APR 1984) A site visit will be conducted onboard the T.S. KENNEDY 9:00 a.m. � 2:00 p.m. Eastern Standard Time on Tuesday, February 09, 2021 at 101 Academy Drive, Buzzards Bay, MA 02532.� POC: Jeff Brown, Marine Surveyor, USDOT- Maritime Administration (MARAD), Division of Atlantic Operations-New England Office; phone (757) 694-5505; e-mail:� Jeffrey.H.Brown@dot.gov .� To schedule your site visit, Potential Quoters are to contact the POC.� Due to COVID-19, this will be the ONLY site visit and all potential quoters are required to provide their own personal protective equipment (PPE) and practice social distancing during their visit and servicing.� �All potential quoters intending to submit an offer should plan to attend site visit.� �To make the site visit as productive as possible, offerors are also requested to submit any questions from the review of the solicitation package or as a result of site visit, should be submitted in writing via e-mail to the Contracting Officer, monique.leake@dot.gov no later than 2:00 p.m. Eastern Standard Time on Friday, February 12, 2021�with the solicitation number 6933A221Q000006 in the subject line.� Responses to questions will be issued by amendment to the solicitation package. Failure of a prospective offeror to submit any questions or to attend the site visit will be construed to mean that the offeror fully understands all requirements of the solicitation. Prospective offerors are advised that the site visit will be held solely to allow offerors an opportunity to gain the best possible understanding of the working environment and specific work items to be addressed under contract in order that they may prepare an accurate and complete price quote. All prospective offerors are advised at the conclusion of the site visit, unless this solicitation is amended in writing, it will remain unchanged and, that if an Amendment is issued, normal procedures relating to the acknowledgment and receipt of any such amendment shall be applicable. This is the ONLY site visit that will be conducted.� Quoters are strongly encouraged to attend, as failure to attend does not relieve the quoter of accuracy of their proposal and the quoter's ATTENTION: Minority, Women-Owned, and Disadvantaged Business Enterprises (DBEs). The Department of Transportation (DOT), Short-Term Lending Program (STLP) offers working capital financing in the form of lines of credit to finance accounts receivable for transportation related contracts. Maximum line of credit is $750,000 with interest at the prime rate, as published daily in the Wall Street Journal, plus 1.75 percent.
