- This is a pre-solicitation notice. The USDA, Agricultural Research Service (ARS) Southeast Area (SEA) Aquatic Animal Health Research Unit in Auburn, AL has a requirement for a construction project to drill, complete, develop and provide a new water well for the Aquatics Lab. The contractor will provide all necessary labor, materials, and equipment necessary to accomplish the requirements. USDA ARS SEA intends to issue a Request for Quote, utilizing simplified acquisition procedures, for a firm fixed priced construction purchase order. The solicitation is anticipated to be a Total Small Business Set-Aside. The NAICS code for this requirement is 237110 - Water and Sewer Line and Related Structures Construction with a size standard of $39.5M. In Accordance with FAR 36.204 the estimated magnitude of this requirement is between $25,000 and $100,000. Contractors shall not directly contact the facility to discuss this requirement. During the solicitation phase, contractors will be provided the opportunity to ask any relevant questions.� This notice is issued solely for information and planning purposes - it does not constitute the Request for Quote (RFQ). The Government anticipates issuing an RFQ for this requirement on/about March 12, 2021. This notice does not commit the U.S. Government to contract for these services. �
