Description

The Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) intends to award a contract modification to BAE Systems Land and Armaments L.P. (Minneapolis, MN), under contract N0002420C5300, for the production of Mk 110 Mod 0 57-mm Gun System for FY21 requirements.�� The Mk 110 Mod 0 Gun System is designed to provide highly effective defense capability against certain air threats such as, cruise missiles and aircraft along with surface threats such as, patrol boats, small watercraft, jet skis, and ground-based lightly armored or thin-skinned targets. This increase in scope contract modification will be awarded pursuant to 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1), only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. BAE is the only existing source possessing the requisite knowledge and expertise of the Mk 110 Gun System to satisfy the Government�s production requirements within the required schedule. All responsible sources interested in this requirement may submit a capability statement to the points of contact listed below that demonstrates their capability to perform the efforts described above. The Government will review each respondent�s capability statement and consider them for market research purposes. This synopsis is for informational purposes only.� This is not a request for proposal (RFP). This does not constitute a solicitation and shall not be construed as a commitment by the Government.� Responses in any form are not offers and the government is under no obligation to award a contract as a result of this announcement.� No funds are available to pay for preparation of responses to this announcement. Any information submitted by respondents to this technical description is purely voluntary.� Companies interested in subcontracting opportunities must contact BAE directly.
