Description

The government intends to award a firm-fixed price (FFP) contract for a one-time purchase of one (1) Haas VF-2 Mill, in accordance with the Item Description. One (1) Vertical Machining Center � P/N Haas CNC 201: Productivity Improvement Course, Training, and Demonstrations P/N WIPS-R: Wireless Intuitive Probing System A�5000�8156: M4, 6MM RUBY BALL, CERAMIC STEM, 150MM STYLI One (1) each P/N VF-2 Vertical Machining Center that shall consist of the following salient characteristics: 30"" x 16"" x 20"" (762 x 406 x 508 mm) - Table 36"" x 14"" x 3000lb Max Load - 40 taper spindle - 30 hp (22.4 kW) vector drive, 8100 rpm, 90 ft-lb @2000 rpm, Inline Direct- Drive - Electronic Thermal Compensation to compensate for the expansion and contraction of each linear axis. - 1000 ipm (25.4 m/min) rapids (X, Y, Z) - 650 ipm max cutting in standard mode - 20-station carousel tool changer - 55-gallon (208 liter) flood coolant system - Window Blast - Max Machine Footprint: 90"" L x 91"" D x 109"" H - Max Weight: 7,500 lbs - Controller Features: 15"" color LCD monitor, graphic dry run, self-diagnostics, USB port, memory lock keyswitch, multi-function jog handle, rigid tapping, advanced pocket milling, tool life management, background editing, 1 Gigabyte program memory, Ethernet Interface and Power Failure Detection module. One (1) each P/N A�5000�8156: M4, 6MM RUBY BALL, CERAMIC STEM, 150MM STYLI One (1) each P/N WIPS-R: Wireless Intuitive Probing System - Includes macros, spindle orientation and coordinate rotation and scaling. Includes the Haas Visual Programming System, macros, spindle orientation and coordinate rotation and scaling options. One (1) each P/N Haas CNC 201: Productivity Improvement Course, Training, and Demonstrations that shall include a minimum of a three-day class with a minimum of eight (8) hours per day for a maximum of up to five (5) students. Training shall be conducted at Tinker at the location of the shop in which the machine is installed. Shipping/freight shall be included.
